Reflections by Lee Labrada
Have you ever observed how some people who seem to have everything going for them end up crashing and burning, and ruining their lives? It seems like the Hollywood tabloids are full of them.
And then you see other people, who despite overwhelming odds working against them, overcome all obstacles and succeed.
What separates these two kinds of people?
These two words came to my mind: run and
ruin.
The difference between “run” and “ruin” is that little “I”.
“I” can run my life, or “I” can ruin it.
It comes down to the decisions that I make. My decisions have consequences, and the consequences can be good or bad. I’m making decisions all day long.
So are you...
You decide whether you get out of bed in the morning...or not. You decide whether you work and get ahead... or not. You decide whether you take care of your body by working out and eating right... or not.
You see how that works? You may not have control over everything that happens to you. But you have control over your thoughts and your actions.
You decide. You can “run” your life or “ruin” your life. Decide today to run your life and do the best you can.
That’s what I always do, and then I put the rest in God’s hands. It reminds me of this Bible verse from Philippians 4:13– “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Step out in faith and be bold. Push yourself. You can do it!
Run.

LEAN BODY CHALLENGE 2020 WINNER Robert lost 4 lbs and 6% Body Fat
"During the course of the 12-week time period, I focused on daily action plans, meal prep, and being prepared for our busy lifestyle with four kiddos, work, and community involvement. I was not successful every day for 12 weeks. When I failed to eat properly or didn’t workout I didn’t
give up and quit. Instead, I started fresh the next day with a positive attitude. The 12-week Lean Body Challenge was a very wonderful experience that tested my self-discipline daily. I accomplished success and had failures along the way but the journey was well worth it because I made it to the finish line without giving up and I set a positive and healthy example for my kids."
