Hi ,

Anytime that I get into a new hobby or undertaking, I go out and try to learn as much about it as I can. I don’t know about you, but my typical first go-to source when I want to learn about something is Google. I know that there’s a lot of garbage information on the Internet, but I’ve become pretty adept at sifting through, and finding the valuable tidbits.

Unfortunately, as we all know, the Internet can be a bastion of misinformation. This is especially true when it comes to nutritional advice. You would not believe the questions that I get from clients regarding the different types of diets that are currently trending on the Internet. It can be downright confusing.

Here’s the good news. The human digestive tract has not changed much in the last 10,000 years. Meaning, that we were all designed with the ability to digest proteins, carbohydrates, and fat. That’s why I’m skeptical of diets that cut out any of these major macro nutrients.

Here’s something else to ponder...
The reason that any weight loss diet (even the extreme ones) work for a while, is because ...(drum roll)...They succeed in reducing caloric intake.

The problem is that not all caloric intake is equal. If your caloric breakeven (the number of calories that you consume daily, without either gaining or losing weight) is say, 2000 calories, your body composition, and your health, would be radically different if that 2000 calories came from butter; versus 2000 calories from a balanced diet consisting of natural foods. I know this is an exaggeration, but you get the drift.

So where do you start? Over the last 40 years, I have always encouraged my followers to seek balance, especially in their diet. A whole food diet, supplemented intelligently to meet nutritional needs, is a great place to begin. If you don’t already have a diet plan that is working for you, I would encourage you to take advantage of our free Lean Body nutrition program by clicking here now.

This week, I hope that you will seek balance in your diet. In the long run, a balanced nutrition program will make a huge difference in your energy levels and health.

LEAN BODY TRANSFORMATION OF THE WEEK MOTIVATION
Christopher Coblentz lost 31 lbs & 12.5% Body Fat

"In the last six years I have gained 40 pounds... so I made it my goal this year to get it back off. I also focused on having a body fat percentage of less than ten percent. I wanted this to be the year that I would finally reach my goal.

Fast forward twelve weeks – I have pushed myself harder than I thought possible. I made training a priority and can count the number of cheat meals on one hand. I set goals for myself and I am proud to say that I have achieved them. Not only have I changed on the outside but I believe it has equally changed me inside. I'm a much better husband, father and happier person. I have developed a passion for health and fitness and enjoy the journey its taking me on. I am excited to share my story with others and hope to help them achieve their fitness goals!
