Hi ,

It’s a windy day today, and as I look out my window, I can see the trees swaying with the breeze. I find myself taking a closer look at the branches and I notice each and every leaf is dancing. What an amazing natural display of motion!  When it comes right down to it, our entire world is in motion. Motion is energy. And it’s all connected.

The key to making positive changes in your life involves motion ...taking action.
Often times, an opportunity to make a positive change in your life is preceded by a life challenge, for example, being told by your doctor that if you don’t lose 30 pounds, you’re going to have a heart attack.

Experience has taught me to avoid freezing up like a deer in the headlights whenever life throws a challenge my way. My natural reaction used to be to get worked up and say "Oh man, what do I do now!?" But, I’ve learned that while I may not initially know exactly what to do when faced with a problem, I do know this much: I’m going to pick a direction and I’m going to take action.

This philosophy has served me well. For starters, it makes me feel better to be doing SOMETHING instead of NOTHING to fix the challenge at hand.
That gives me a calmer mindset. And with that calmer mindset, more solutions and positive energy start to materialize. That, in turn, may lead to a new, and better solution. With the new solution in hand, I engage myself in more ‘motion’, because I know it won’t happen unless I ACT. And this is how, more often than not, a challenge is eventually overcome.

This week, I want you to ask yourself: What challenges are holding me back from leading a more fit and healthy life? What actions do I need to take to overcome my challenges?

Remember, pick a direction and go! Even if it’s a baby step, take action. It’s motion and staying in motion is... good!

LEAN BODY TRANSFORMATION OF THE WEEK

Michael Douglas lost 40 lbs and 7% Body Fat

"My number one goal with doing this challenge was to get healthier and to lose weight. I was a week behind in starting the challenge and a couple of weeks prior I had checked my blood glucose and it was reading 151 when fasting. My mother, father and both grandfathers were diabetics and I decided that I needed to change my family tree with diabetes. I turned 49 in January and that is the age my mother was when she had to have 5 bypass heart surgery. My father was 53 when he had a stroke that paralyzed one side of his body and put him in a wheel chair. I didn’t want to continue that family history. I have 3 kids and a beautiful wife that I want to be around to watch them marry and have grandkids and enjoy my time with my wife."
